On July 25, the President of Malawi, Dr. Lazarus Mccarthy Chakwera visited the construction site of Balaka 2000TPD clinker production line of Portland Company Malawi (PCM), a subsidiary of Huaxin, affirmed the construction progress of the project and inscribed blessings to wish the project a success.

Liu Jianguo, the General Manager of PCM, gave a comprehensive introduction of the project. The President stated that the government fully supports Huaxin's investment and business in Malawi and holds high expectations for the Balaka cement project, hoping that Huaxin will accelerate the construction of the project with high standards and strict requirements, and put it into operation successfully at an early date, making significant contributions to the industrial development and economic construction of Malawi.

Malawian Vice President and other dignitaries accompanied the inspection. Local media carried out live coverage.

Huaxin Balaka Project is an important milestone for Huaxin to expand its footprint in Africa. Currently, the construction of the project is progressing smoothly. Once completed, Huaxin will become the largest cement manufacturer in Malawi, completely changing the current situation of cement shortage in the country and making strong contributions to deepening China-Malawi friendship and cooperation.
